dr. Yaser Nasif, DDS

Education
For over 20 years, Dr. Yaser Nasif has been practicing dentistry in multiple countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Syria and seven years in the United States. Back in 2000, he graduated from Damascus University School of Dentistry, where he completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Lutheran Medical Center.
Dr. Nasif provides general dentistry services and is big on dental implants to help reach his goal of putting a smile on patients’ faces. He has a diploma in implant dentistry from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association® . To this day, he continues his education and training every six months.
About Me
Outside of work, Dr. Nasif loves spending time with his wife and four kids. He enjoys traveling and reading whenever he can.
dr. Mustafa Ahmed, DMD

Dr. Mustafa Ahmed is a skilled dentist dedicated to providing exceptional dental care. Dr. Ahmed graduated from the University of Kufa in 2013 and completed his residency in Orofacial Pain at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry in 2021. With his expertise and commitment to patient well-being, Dr. Ahmed strives to deliver personalized and comprehensive dental treatments.
About Me
Outside of work, Dr. Ahmed enjoys spending quality time with his family, exploring nature through hiking and fishing, and watching movies.
dr. Issa Abou Ayyash, DMD

Dr. Issa Abou Ayyash, is a highly skilled dentist known for his dedication to providing exceptional dental care. With a comprehensive educational background and more than 15 years of practical experience, Dr. Abou Ayyash has developed a reputation for excellence in various aspects of dentistry, from cleaning and cavities to solving more complex problems like crowding, missing teeth or smiles in need of a complete rejuvenation.
Dr. Abou Ayyash earned his dental degree from the Arab American University in Palestine, and his residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
Issa Has continually updated his knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training in the latest dental technologies and techniques, with more focus on implant dentistry, and earned his high diploma in Implant dentistry from the AAUP in 2016. His commitment to patient care is evident in his personalized approach, ensuring that each patient receives tailored treatments in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
Abou Ayyash is an active member of several professional dental organizations, where he stays current with industry advancements and collaborates with peers to promote best practices in dental care. His passion for improving oral health and enhancing patients’ smiles has made him a trusted and respected figure in his community.

Dr. Alaa Elkhatib, DDS

Dr. Alaa Elkhatib is a dedicated dentist with a solid academic and clinical background. She graduated with honors from the Faculty of Dentistry at Alexandria University in 2016. Following her internship and completion of the National Dental Board Examination in 2017, she conducted research in Digital Dentistry at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2018.
Dr. Elkhatib earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California between 2019 and 2021. She holds a Virginia state dental license and has a strong passion for root canal treatment, Invisalign, and digital dentistry.

Dr. Alaa Elkhatib is a passionate mother and wife, seamlessly balancing her family life with her professional career. As a champion swimmer, her athletic achievements highlight her determination and drive — qualities that shine through in her role as a dentist and her dedication to her family. Her commitment to excellence, is a testament to her strength and perseverance.
Dr. Nourhan Elkhatib, DMD

Dr. Nourhan Elkhatib is originally from Egypt. She was born in Saudi Arabia, raised in Kuwait, and her family is currently residing in Qatar. Dr. Elkhatib graduated from Carnegie Mellon University Qatar with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biological Sciences and a minor in Computational Biology. She worked as a Research Assistant for one year before joining Dental School.
During this one-year period, Dr. Elkhatib contributed significantly to our research endeavors, focusing on a project aimed at unraveling molecular mechanisms associated with breast cancer progression. Her work involved a comprehensive exploration of the regulatory aspects of two critical proteins, with a particular emphasis on identifying regulators of MAPK14 minor intron splicing through advanced computational analysis.
About Me
Dr. Elkhatib’s favorite hobbies are swimming, hiking and cycling. She loves to spend time with family and friends and loves doing outdoor activities. She lived in Boston for 4 years while completing her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree at Tufts University, then moved to work in Connecticut. She looks forward to exploring Virginia and is very keen to get to meet its people.
Dr. Elkhatib is an enthusiastic dentist working at Ideal Smile whose main goal is to make patients feel comfortable and safe at the dental clinic. She aims to deliver the best possible treatment with outstanding quality of care to her patients.
